The Quran Book Aspects

The Quran consists of 114 Surat (chapters), more than 6000 Ayat (verses) and 323,670 words. The First Verses of the Quran in Surah Aalaq were sent down to Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) in the cave of Hira in 610 A.D. The verses were revealed by angel Jibril where the first verse starts with a command, “Read!”.
