Lifespan (Al Ajal)

Allah swt has appointed a life span for all of His Creation. Nobody knows how long they will live in this world. Allah grants some people long lives and a short one for others. Our life expectancy is uncertain so we have been reminded by our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to be ready and prepared for death at all times. Ajal arrives neither earlier nor later than the appointed time. “Wherever you may be, death will overtake you, even though you may be in lofty towers.” (Nisa 4:78). “He it is who Created you from clay, and then decreed a stated term for you.” (An’am 6:2).
